These pieces are slab built out of tan speckled clay. After an initial bisque firing, each piece is coated with a layer of white underglaze and bisque fired again. A black underglaze transfer is applied and the piece is bisque fired a third time. Colored and black glazes are then added. After one more bisque firing, the portion of the piece that is not covered with colored or black glaze is coated with a clear matte glaze. Each piece is microwave and dishwasher safe.
